January is Rotary International’s Vocational Service Month and annually Rotary Melbourne celebrates Vocational Service at our first or second meeting following the Festive Break by convening a panel of Rotary Melbourne members that showcases the vocational talent of several Club members in a panel discussion of a major topical issue.  

The Panel is organised by the Vocational Service Committee, and this year will feature Victoria’s “Big Build”.  It's hard to miss the work currently in full swing under Victoria’s Big Build, and the list of projects is both ambitious and impressive and we daresay not all projects are smooth sailing:

• Level Crossing Removals Project throughout Melbourne. 
• Major Road Projects across Victoria. 
• Melbourne Airport Rail (SRL Airport). 
• Metro Tunnel Project. 
• North East Link Program. 
• Regional Rail Revival. 
• Suburban Rail Loop. 
• West Gate Tunnel Project.

The panel will combine vocational talents of four Rotary Melbourne members to help deepen member understanding of the complexity and challenges of major civil engineering project.
