Tony's Trek for Mental Health

Tony’s Trek – one step at a time

Tony Pearce, Chair of the Emergency Services Foundation and Victoria’s Inspector General for Emergency Management, is embarking early 2023 on a solo trek over 50 days and 1440kms in the areas worst affected by the 2019/20 black summer fires. Tony will visit Rotary Melbourne at the start of his trek and will re-visit when it is complete.

Covering the area from Melbourne to Mallacoota and across the Alpine Range to Wodonga before heading back to Melbourne, Tony’s Trek aims to raise awareness and support for building collaborative sector-wide mental health initiatives led by the Emergency Services Foundation (ESF).

Tony and ESF want to raise awareness about the terrible toll emergency service work can take and raise funds to support mental health programs and research.

Tony will visit regional Rotary Clubs during his trek raising awareness along the way. Rotary Melbourne has helped Tony connect with these regional Clubs.
