Welcome New Member - Melissa McShane

Ms Melissa McShane was inducted on 1 March 2023 as a designee of new corporate member, Bionics Institute. Melissa will be a member of the Central 2 Group.

Prior to starting at the Bionics Institute in February 2022, Melissa worked at ClimateWorks and as Development Manager at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne, where she had a focus on securing major gifts for scholarships and research.

Melissa has a background in the Arts as a performer, director and arts administrator – she loves dance, music, theatre and visual arts.

She has worked in the arts sector since 2012 at Sydney Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) and Theatre Works across marketing, corporate partnerships, fundraising and development.

She holds a Master of Arts and Cultural Management from the University of Melbourne (Dean’s Honours List 2019) and a Bachelor of Communications from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Melissa is passionate about developing strong philanthropic partnerships to create significant impact and supporting talented people who find solutions to help make the world a better place.
