Give Every Child a Future Update

Rotary International has provided an update on the Give Every Child a Future Rotary and UNICEF Australia vaccination program.

President Adrian thanked Rotary International for sharing the impact of the Rotary Melbourne centenary project with the world.

In the South Pacific Islands, 1 in 45 children die before their fifth birthday each year.
The Give Every Child a Future Rotary and UNICEF Australia vaccination program aims to change that by protecting 100,000 children in nine Pacific Island countries from potentially deadly illnesses, including Rotavirus, Pneumococcal disease, and Human Papillomavirus. So far the program has:
👩‍⚕️Educated 11,188 caregivers on new vaccines
💙Vaccinated 9,679 infants against PCV and Rotavirus
💉 Vaccinated 423 adolescents against HPV
