Rotary Melbourne was delighted to see Bill Philip and his wife Mary Lou at our meeting on 21 June, and we all wished him a very Happy Birthday, celebrating 95 years.
Bill was inducted on 8th October 1980 - almost 43 years ago - under the classification of Accounting Services, sponsored by fellow accountant John Hepworth. At the time he was a partner of Price Waterhouse, having also worked in the United Kingdom and United States. He was a Legal Aid Commissioner, on the Board of the Alfred Hospital, and on the Council of Scotch College.
He is a member of the Toorak 2 group and was for many years a stalwart at our weekly lunches and a regular reception team member. Bill is still a regular golfer with his friend Peter Manger.
