Rotary Melbourne together with Rotary Central Melbourne and a range of other Victorian Clubs have provided experienced Mentors each year to Victoria Police.  The programme has been highly successful. Both mentors and mentees have enjoyed the exchange of experience and insights gained. Mentoring contact is approximately one to two hours per month

The mentees are Senior Sergeants from across Victoria seeking to develop their leadership skills, build community partnerships and enhance their skills in planning and managing projects.

CRITERIA FOR VIC POL MENTORS

• Current or recent leadership experience
• Experience in managing a team, developing people, setting strategic priorities, managing change and handling conflict
• Reflective listener - able to challenge with respect and support individuals personal development and community engagement
• Previous or current involvement in community based projects
• Available for 1 to 2 hours per month over a 12 month period (FacetoFace or via Zoom)
• Endorsement of Club President
