Bernard commenced his working career at the Moonee Valley Racing Club before moving to be CEO of Harness Racing Victoria at the age of 32. Since then, he has been the CEO at Racing Victoria , Western Bulldogs Football Club, New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing and in the last 15 months has been engaged as CEO in a transformational project at RSN Racing and Sport 927am radio. He is also currently the Chairman of AFLNZ.
During his career he has led key commercial outcomes in multi stakeholder environments across Racing Victoria, RV Media, Seven West Media, Racing Australia, TABCORP , VicRacing Pty Ltd , Thoroughbred Racing Productions, NZTAB and Government.
