Interactive Water Trailer App Developed

Our Rotary Melbourne interactive water trailer is travelling across the Big Rivers Region of the Northern Territory with the Katherine West Health Board, introducing the Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) program while also continuing to utilise the trailer for hygiene education.

This is in partnership with the Northern Territory Government to reduce smoking rates among First Nations People by preventing uptake of smoking and e-cigarettes across communities in the territory.

The Big Rivers region is the Territory’s second largest region, covering approximately 360,000 square kilometres and 31 remote towns and communities.

We are funded to host and support community events and anti-vaping activities, deliver community education, develop smoke-free policies in social settings, mass media/social media campaigns, and promotional resources.

As part of hosting community events, we are planning on utilising the water trailer as an activity across the Big Rivers region.
