The leadership of the prestigious Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (‘WEHI’) will host a visit of Rotary Melbourne members on 4 April 2024, from 1pm to 3pm.
As you may note, our Club has a long and highly respected involvement with WEHI. In addition to the tour, we will receive a proposal on how our two great institutions may work together to leverage the research and translational activities of WEHI with our Club’s activities in the region.
For the WEHI visitor registration records, they will require the name of our Club attendees by Thursday 28 March. This will allow WEHI management to organise name tags and ensure adequate light catering.
WEHI have also indicated that they have limited number of visitor parking spaces in front of the WEHI building (approximately 5). They are pleased to allocate some to our guests if needed. However, public transport is helpful, with Tram Stop #10 Royal Melbourne Hospital, outside WEHI at 1G Royal Parade, Parkville, Victoria 3052.
We look forward to not only a fascinating event into the world of leading research, but also how our two fine institutions may form a closer bond, for the betterment of our regional community.
Please provide your details to Jo Mavros, who will manage this process with WEHI.
