Rotaract Club of the University of Melbourne Student Union – Chartering Luncheon 23 June 2024
It was a privilege and absolute delight to represent (unofficially) Rotary Melbourne at this Chartering lunch on Sunday 23 June 24.
Already well organised having been a lively presence at our Clubs “For a Meal” Packing event on 3 April 24. This ceremony, attended by some 60 Rotaracters, Rotarians and representatives of the University of Melbourne, gave me enormous confidence that Rotary will be in good hands as new generations of young people emerge and get involved with great passion.

Well known District 9800 identities were there in force and outgoing DG Ron Payne did a fine job on behalf of Rotary International conducting the chartering Ceremony with enthusiasm, dignity and respect.
Strong signals have emerged that this is the first of several Rotaract Clubs that will emerge in coming months. This is an exceptional opportunity for Rotary Melbourne to connect and support a growing number of young people motivated by the principle of Service Above Self to join Rotary.
