Many years have passed since our explorers, graziers, and hopeful gold seekers were the central characters in the development of our great city.
The founding of Melbourne’s two pillars of optimism and entrepreneurship followed.
The Chamber of Commerce in 1851 with its vision for free trade and leading Victorian business into the future.
And our Rotary Club in 1921 honouring the true value of diversity and discrimination, with its business classification model, culminating in representing all business interests without the domination of any.
Right now, many families who have dedicated their lives and livelihood to fellow Melbournians are experiencing hardship.
We need our Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club to be guiding lights of optimism and entrepreneurship for business growth, and the fusion of ideas.
To reclaim the title of the richest, fairest and most prosperous city in the world – being of service to Melbourne’s business owners must be our priority. May Rotary friends and Rotary ways - help us in service every day.
