In the spirit of the new Regionalisation Pilot, we would like to introduce the2024 Sleepout Rough for the Homeless event to you and your members.
Rotary Chadstone/East Malvern initiated the concept in 2020, and this year are joined by Rotary Malvern, Prahran, Port Phillip & e-Club Melbourne to expand its reach.
To help spread the word and attract participants and donations, would you be happy to include the attached e-brochure in your Club communications to Members?
We respect that there are many worthwhile activities and events your own Club will be supporting, but as the issue of homelessness and its causes, are escalating within our community, we feel the time is right for Rotarians to help do more in this space.
This year the funds raised will be directed to South Port Community Housing Group www.spchg.org.au who, for over 40 years, have been providing safe and affordable housing for people facing homelessness in the south-eastern area of Melbourne.
Sleepout Rough for the Homeless
When: 6pm Friday 22 November to 8am Saturday 23 November (overnight)
Where: Central Park, Cnr Burke and Central Park Road, Malvern East
Cost: Participant Fee is $20 which includes breakfast
