Welcome New Member - Puja Roy Gangopadhyay 

Rotary Melbourne welcomed and inducted Puja Roy Gangopadhyay on 18 September 2024 with the classification of Education & Training (Management – Career Counselling & Corporate Relations) Puja is a member of the Central 1 Rotary group.

Puja Roy Gangopadhyay was inducted on 18th September 2024 with the classification Education & Training (Management – Career Counselling & Corporate Relations)

Puja was born in India and has a rich professional background with over 25 years of experience spanning education management, corporate training, public relations, digital marketing, and business development. She holds a BA in Sociology, Education, and Political Science from Calcutta University and an MBA in Marketing from the All-India Management Association (AIMA). She is a Certified Trainer under Commonwealth of Learning UK on Technology in Education

In her extensive career, Puja has served in leadership roles across renowned institutions, including Texila College Australia, IL& FS India, Refyne India and Team Future Group. Her extensive experience in the Insurance sector working with TATA AIG, MAX New York Life gave her in-depth strategic knowledge in the finance insurance world. She has been instrumental in shaping young minds through self-designed soft skill program nationally and internationally. She is currently a higher education trainer & assessor with Australian private Higher Education and VET sector and Operations Manager at Texila College Australia, where she mentors’ students and manages college operations, student admission & support, compliance, and marketing.

Her passion for education led her to specialize in career counselling and corporate placements, supporting students and institutions alike. She has also been instrumental in building industry-academic partnerships and creating bespoke training programs aimed at bridging the gap between education and corporate demands.

Puja is a member of the Australian Institute of Management and has participated in numerous professional development seminars and workshops on leadership, sustainability, and communication. She is a regular attender for industry meets and strategies at the ACBC Australia China Business Council, and The Australia India Business Council.

Puja enjoys traveling and has explored much of the world. She is also an avid social worker and has been actively involved with charitable organizations, including the Hope Foundation and the Inner Wheel Club Kolkata India.

Puja has agreed to be on the leadership team for the Rotary SAFE Families Inclusive Communities Initiative joining Ahmed Tohow, Ramona Martinovici and Peter Berg representing Rotary Melbourne which includes Club members from Hawthorn, Caroline Springs, Richmond and Kericho in Kenya.

Puja believes that “Life isn’t about finding yourself.... Life is about creating yourself”.
