Forth Bridge Award - Richard Parker & MAHAH Team

At this week’s meeting President Catherine on behalf of Past President Chris and his Board made the presentation of the Forth Bridge Award to Richard Parker & MAHAH Team.

The Forth Bridge Award was inaugurated in 2006 by Past President and now Honorary Member Mev Connell.  The trophy has an original rivet that was removed during repairs.

It is awarded annually to a Leader of a team of two or more members whose project or activity is considered the most outstanding contribution during the year.

Rotary Melbourne's Make A House a Home (MAHAH) Project is, ‘Transforming Lives, One Home at a Time’!

Through the vision of Richard Parker and the team of dedicated Rotary Melbourne volunteers, this impactful project has transformed the lives of hundreds, providing newly housed individuals with the essentials needed for a fresh start. In collaboration with Launch Housing, MAHAH equips people transitioning from homelessness or family violence with carefully prepared homeware boxes, filling empty homes with warmth and dignity.

Since 2017, the project has demonstrated Rotary Melbourne’s commitment to meaningful action and fellowship, bridging gaps in the community with lasting support.
