November is Foundation Month and a couple of weeks ago, PP Bob Glindemann spoke about the Every Rotarian Every Year activity. He mentioned that Rotary Melbourne has many members who have never donated to The Rotary Foundation – our Foundation, in fact almost 60% of our current members and today you will have an opportunity where you can become a supporter of our Foundation and at the same time get a “bigger bang for your buck!”
Jane Pennington is our District 9800 Coordinator of the Polio Plus Society and has she got a deal for you.
Because of the generous support of the Gates Foundation, all donations via the Polio Plus Society will receive a 2 for1 contribution thus trebling your contribution to the End Polio initiative.
All of the contributions count towards the various levels of recognition for you and Rotary Melbourne.
So there you go. Your Clubs Foundation Committee is recommending that this provides a wonderful opportunity to support the Foundation with whatever dollar amount you elect and have its value trebled by the Gates Foundation which means we are contributing to the eradication of Polio at the same time. The sums are simple. Donate annually AUD$160 (USD$100) and Gates Foundation contribution means AUD$480 (USD$300) or at least 300 children are able to be vaccinated.
Single donations to the fund under this deal also gets match from Gates but committing to an annual contribution is far better!!
You can of course donate to the Global Fund, but this does not attract the matching funds.
