RLI Course attendance by Rotary Melbourne

Rotary Melbourne members Sue Smith, Anthony Battaini and Will Abdo joined a group of 24 Rotarians  at the “Rotary Leadership Institute Course” held on Saturday 23 November at the Djerring Flemington Hub. It was the first post-covid, in-person one-day learning and development course.

The 4-part course covers, an incredibly wide range of content, aspects concerning Growing & Strengthening Clubs Parts 1 & 2, Focusing & Increasing Humanitarian Service and Enhancing Public Image & Awareness.

During the one day course they had the opportunity to meet and team with other Rotarians from a broad range of District 9800 Rotary groups, sharing relevant tasks and discussions on their respective clubs.  Furthermore, they explored various leadership roles and responsibilities within Rotary and encouraged all present to consider future leadership aspirations both within and beyond Rotary with new ideas and innovations in mind.

The RLI course is especially valuable for members moving into or considering club leadership roles, or becoming a club or project champion. It’s also an amazingly effective way for a member who has joined Rotary recently to accelerate their understanding of the organisation, learn where and how to access resources and knowledge, and build contacts and networks.

The next RLI course is scheduled for Feb 2025 and we strongly recommend any member wanting a comprehensive, intensive overview of Rotary to consider attending.
