Rotary Melbourne welcomed and inducted Karen Gornalle on 25 June 2025 with the classification Real Estate -Training & Management.
Karen was born in Melbourne and educated at Star of the Sea Convent. She completed Business Studies in Real Estate in 1983 and obtained experience in the industry working in local agencies and worked in one of Melbourne’s largest independent Real Estate organizations in the Eastern suburbs. She established and operated her own independent real estate agency together with her husband Michael Gornalle in 1993 for just over 25 years.
She was an active member of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria as an Individual member serving on several committees from 1984. The REIV appointed Karen in 1991 to the Hearing Tribunal Panel which she held for a period of 15 years. In 2007 Karen was appointed to the Justice Department – Consumer Affairs Victoria as a board member for the Estate Agents Council.
Karen and Mike live in Carlton North and enjoy catching up with family and friends. Karen loves to spend time in the garden, keeping fit and joining friends for a coffee and walk.
Karen is a member of the Central 2 group.
