Inside the fight: Stories from the frontlines of polio eradication | Sat 4 Oct online

Registrations have been live for a week and we’ve already attracted great interest in our inaugural zone webinar series - Inside the fight: Stories from the frontlines of polio eradication - Saturday 4 October. 10.00am - Brisbane/Sydney/Melbourne.

We’re very lucky to have Past RI Director Brad Howard as our special guest. He will be talking about the ‘Unintended consequences of polio eradication’.

This webinar is open to all and is also a terrific introduction for new members and clubs to learn more about the boldest public health initiative of our time, started by Rotary.

Brad is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Oakland Uptown and past District Governor of the district serving California’s Silicon Valley. He was a Rotary International Director from 2015-2017 and served 10 years as Zone End Polio Now Coordinator.

He has led 34 groups of Rotarians, comprised of more than 1,700 people, to participate in polio National Immunization Days in West Africa and India.

He is a recipient of the Rotary’s Service Above Self Award, the Rotary Foundation’s Distinguished Service Award, and the International Service Award for a Polio Free World awarded to no more than 10 individuals annually.

Registration is essential so we can manage zoom numbers.
