Welcome New Member - Pam Hargreaves

Rotary Melbourne welcomed and inducted Pam Hargeaves on 1 October 2025 with the classification Education ConsultantHer father, with the support of his wife, was a long standing Rotarian in the Rotary Club of Brunswick. 

Pam completed her secondary education at University High School, and her tertiary education comprised a Bachelor Degree in Education (LaTrobe University); Graduate Diploma in IT and Communications (Melbourne University); and a TAA Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAFE). 

Pam has had an extensive career within the Victorian education system, and has had teaching experience within the Catholic, Government and Independent sector. She also had some time tutoring in the tertiary sector, and her role was travelling to Asia recruiting students, and then working with them upon their arrival at Latrobe University, Melbourne. 

In the final years of her career Pam was employed at Independent Schools Victoria as an Education Consultant. Within this role she liaised extensively with Victorian independent schools. She also had significant communications and meetings with the Catholic and Victorian Government sector, plus Federal and State Governments. 

Pam was President of the Rotary Club of North Camberwell and was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship in 2005.

Pam and her husband John, (former Rotarian, now deceased), have three children, 5 grandsons, two granddaughters and 2 little great grandchildren. Within the family, Sporting activities have a high profile and are an important part of family life. Golfing, surfing, skiing, marathon running, and tennis are enjoyed. 

Pam was a tennis player, now a golfer and is a member of the Kew Golf Club and Kooyong Tennis Club. 

Pam is a member of the Central 2 group.
