The Rotary Zone 8 conference on the Gold Coast has been a revelation. There are so many high impact projects underway and evolving that will benefit communities across the region.
The PNG Snakebite Project was one of a few chosen to feature to an audience of over 400 Rotarians. The presentation attracted strong support and endorsement, in particular from RAWCS.
Following the presentation incoming RI president, Olayinka Hakeem Babalola, complimented Rotary Melbourne on its involvement, initiative and ongoing support for the PNG Snakebite Partnership.
On global rankings his country Nigeria is listed near the top per capita for snakebite fatalities.Yinka requested details about the program and said tackling snakebite is one of his priorities. A very encouraging endorsement indeed.
