I grew up in Sydney and, by the time I was in high school, I had decided that I wanted to see the world before settling into a career. I got a job, saved as much as I could, and set off backpacking around the world for several years.
My travels eventually led me to Japan, where I joined an American investment bank. After several years living and working there, I transferred to the bank's London office. Over the years, I progressed up the corporate ladder into a number of management roles, while the bank also supported me in completing an Honours degree in Financial Economics.
In 2017, I decided it was time to give something back to the community. A friend invited me to attend meetings at her Rotary club, and I was immediately drawn to Rotary's commitment to service. I also enjoyed being part of an organisation that brings together people from different professions, cultures and backgrounds, united by a common purpose. I joined the Rotary Club of Kensington & Chelsea in August 2017, serving as Club Treasurer before having the privilege of being elected Club President for the 2023–24 Rotary year.
I relocated back to Australia in late 2025, with one of my priorities being to continue my Rotary journey. After spending more than 38 years living and working overseas, it is wonderful to be home again and to begin this new chapter with the Rotary Club of Melbourne.
