The Smith Family Support for Underprivileged Kids - VOLUNTEER NOW
As Members know, this is the time when Rotary Melbourne goes all out to raise funds for The Smith Family program, Learning for Life, to provide underprivileged kids with education support to become secure and contributing adults.
We have volunteering for the Melbourne Marathon (10 and 11 October), Team Rotary Riders to gain pledges from Members who ride bicycles "Around the Bay", raffling for a special bicycle, and now a second volunteering for Around the Bay.
This new opportunity is to join a support station at the north end of Albert Park Lake on Sunday 18 October. Families and children will do multiple circuits around the lake on the closed roads, and we will provide set-up and support starting at 7 am and closing before 1.30 pm. We are invited to provide up to 8 volunteers at this station and in return gain $75 per person for The Smith Family.
We seek previous Around the Bay volunteers and new members to join this outreach and participate in great fellowship on the day.
Please call/text/email Trevor Nink on 0404 084 283 or tnink@outlook.com to add your names or learn more. We will need to finalise this by this Wednesday 2 September 26.

p.s. Please call/text/email Jim Orchard on 0452 639 329 or jimporchard@gmail.com to add you names to the Melbourne Marathon volunteer lists on Saturday or Sunday 10 or 11 October.
The more volunteers the greater the opportunity to change the lives of young kids.
Thanks and kind regards

Trevor Nink
