On 1 August 26 RM was advised that at the June 2026 Rotary International Board meeting, where the in-principle decision was made to modify the 19 current districts to the planned 9 districts, District 9800 proposes to redistrict with District 9780 and District 9790 with the district boundary of the SA border to the west, the district boundary of 9790 to the north, the district boundary of 9800 to the east, and the district boundary of 9800 and 9780 to the south, as of 1 July 2028.

Voting period closed on 31 August 26
I am pleased to advise that the vast majority of D9800 Clubs voted YES to the proposed district plan for the new District 9795. Effective date is from 1 Jul 28 as detailed in the email forwarded to Clubs on 1 August 26.

Nomination for DGN (District Governor Nominee)
Arrangements are underway to seek nominations for DGN for the new District from D9800. Once these are finalised, (awaiting District 9780 vote result) an application form and supporting documents will be circulated.
