Rotary Melbourne’s annual Vocational Service Award recognises significant vocational service of community leaders in the community who have achieved distinction in their chosen career and have demonstrably used their vocational skills to selflessly make significant contributions to the community.
The Rotary Club of Melbourne Mentoring Award recognises a Rotarian who has excelled as a mentor and advocate for Rotary. The award was inaugurated in 2019 honouring the memory of Past President David Wittner AM.
The trophy is awarded annually to a Leader of a Team of two or more members whose Project or Activity is considered to be the most outstanding contribution in the year.
This award is voted upon by the Board and is given to a Rotarian who, during the Rotary year, has given that little bit extra in “Service above Self” and is presented as the “Vice-Presidents Encouragement Award" or “Axle Award”.
The Royce Abbey Award was established in recognition of Royce Abbey's contribution to Rotary as an inspirational Rotarian and leader from 1954 to 2014, and as president of Rotary International in 1988-89.
