Topic Lifeline: How do we help?

In 1971, the Rotary Club of Melbourne agreed to a proposal by the Wesley Central Mission to help establish Lifeline offices and facilities in Melbourne. This project would celebrate the Club's Jubilee year.

Tina Thomas is the Manager of Lifeline Melbourne and has worked with Wesley Mission Victoria since 2009. She works in this role with a very large group of passionate and committed volunteers and staff, working to decrease suicide and build resilience in our community. Tina comes from a nursing background with work in oncology and palliative care with experience and grief and bereavement counselling. She has worked with volunteers across her working life and believes that people helping can make a significant differences to all of us.
