Mark Anderson has a diverse and very important role at the Melbourne Cricket Club. As Club manager, he is responsible for the successful operation of the MCC Members Reserve at the MCG on event days, ensuring that all members and their guests have a satisfying experience. Rob McGuirk and Kerry Kornhauser held meetings in Alice Springs and Darwin this month whilst visiting the Zone Institute in Darwin. They represented and discussed the End Trachoma by 2020 project and Rob and Kerry are seen here with Lien Trinh and Keith Ryall, Rotary Carlton and children Torie and Baby Emmerson.
Our DG Peter Frueh addressed the recent DG’s Symposium held on August 31 in the Darwin Convention Centre. This year all the Australian DG’s attended (21 in total) with their Partners. I particularly liked Peter's "requote" below regarding Rotary Foundation:

For the first time Rotary Club of Melbourne and Rotary Club of Brighton North will be co-sharing the Women in Rotary’s International Women’s Day Breakfast on Wednesday 7 March 2018. The Yarra River Cleaning operation is still welcoming and needing volunteers and donations to support this annual project. Donations are used to purchase garbage bags, gloves etc. This is a joint project with CleanUp Australia and Rotary Club of Flemington. Read More...

The Club has been invited to a tour of the research facilities at Royal Childrens Hospital. The planned visit is on Tuesday 24 October, 6 -730 pm. Hosted and facilitated by our Member Sue Hunt and Murdoch Childrens Research Institute representatives. There will be an overview of vaccine/immunisation programs in the Pacific Islands and results of the latest Australia Child Health Poll on the shared Rotary Australia Health focus on ‘Lift the Lid’ on mental health with a Q & A.
