PAUL HARRIS FELLOW

SANDRA HILLS - OUR NEWEST PAUL HARRIS FELLOW

For a sustained commitment to Service Above Self it was wonderful to see Sandra Hills awarded with a Paul Harris Fellow. Sandra was inducted on 30 June 2010 with the classification of Anglican Aged Care Services and from the outset, she has been committed to Rotary as she quickly became active on the Reception committee, Health Issues committee, Welfare of the Elderly committee and Youth Exchange committee.  In the June 2017 Queens Birthday Honours Sandra was awarded an Order of Australia. Sandra is seen here with President Mary and Sandra's husband John Annison.

TREE PLANTING LAST SUNDAY

Group photo of Rotarians, Rotaractors, Friends of Westgate Park and Serco employees after industriously planting trees on Sunday morning.   "From little things ..... big things grow" so today's plantings will create a splendid plantation for the future and assist in our Rotary International President, Ian Riseley's goal that all Australian Rotarians plant at least one tree to better our environment this year.

David Kram and Austen Burleigh are achieving the same results in planting but doing it differently!!

LAST WEEK'S GUESTS & GREETINGS

BARBARA AND JAMES DONNELLY

Happy “0” birthday to James Donnelly.  James is taking a quick break in Gippsland and has shared a lovely photo of Barbara who is well settled and comfortable in supported care.  Visitors are always welcome but particularly during meal times.

There are a few members caring for their partners.  James is one of them. They are the unpaid carers of their loved ones and are highly respected in our community.  How about a visit or a telephone call...... let's all find that small amount of time it takes to "make a difference" to someone's life.

Let us all try to call and connect..

Happy Birthday this week to: Susan Davis (Today with a Big “0”)!, Dina Gerolymou, Adrian Kloeden (a Big “0”!), Bill Pratt and James Donnelly (Big "0").
