On 7 February 2023, the Rotary Action Group For Peace (RAGFP) held its first Global Peacebuilder Club meeting. In 2019 Rotary Melbourne joined seven other Clubs around Australia and became a ‘Peacebuilder Club’.

The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity is conducting a study of an experimental influenza (flu) vaccine using new mRNA technology and is seeking healthy adults 65 years and older.
Victoria’s single-use plastic ban came into effect on 1 February 2023. The ban was originally announced in early 2021, with the implementation date set from 2023 to provide time for government to engage businesses on finding alternatives.
