As the end of the World Environment Day event approached, Garry Fowler, Co-chair of the Environment Sustainability Committee came to the podium to accept the Carbon Social Certificate from Andrew Mahar AM, founder of WithOneSeed, an East Timor based social enterprise.
Rotary Melbourne member, Vaideek Chaudhary, has agreed to interview various members of the Club as part the Communications Committee idea to get to know members of the Club. Vaideek's third candidate is George Giamadakis.

Melbourne Rotary welcomed and inducted Mohammad Faisal Albarbari (Mike) into the Club on 18 May 2022. Mike is a Chartered Accountant. His classification is Finance – Accounting. Mike is excited about joining Rotary Melbourne and is looking forward to his participation in the Club activities.

The presentation of a Paul Harris Fellow Award to Honorary Secretary, Russell Board for his service particularly in 2020-2021 which was a challenging year requiring Russell’s calm and thorough governance oversight.
Visiting Rotarian Reg Hutchinson, Rotary Adelaide, was invited to the podium for the exchange of Club banners, following which Reg H. presented a historical brass plaque which a member of the public, resident in the Adelaide Hills, had found in the garage.

Many members are concerned that Rotary needs to adapt and evolve to increase its relevance in a changing world. A major consultation will begin in June about piloting a regional structure in Zone 8 (Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands) will be conducted.
