Rotary Melbourne has received a carbon social certificate for offsetting our club’s carbon emissions for 2023-24 which were calculated as 14 tonnes of CO2e. This is signed by the President Jose Ramos-Hota. The Certificate, signed by the President Jose Ramos-Hota symbolises “ …. not only your (organisation’s) climate leadership, but also your support for local communities (in Timor Lesté) working to restore their forests and livelihoods.”

On behalf of the xpand Foundation and the WithOneSeed program, I would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to your club for successfully offsetting your carbon emissions through community-led reforestation in Timor-Leste.
Your commitment to environmental sustainability and climate action is commendable, and we are proud to partner with you in building a more sustainable future. As confirmation, I have officially retired the 14 carbon credits on your behalf, and I’ve attached the Gold Standard certificate verifying the retirement for your records.
In recognition of your contribution, I am also pleased to present you with a certificate from xpand Foundation, signed by our local program partner and our esteemed project patron, His Excellency President José Ramos-Horta. This certificate symbolises not only your climate leadership, but also your support for local communities working to restore their forests and livelihoods.
