SPECIAL THANKS FROM A VISITING ROTARIAN

"Thank you so much for your welcome and well wishes! I had an unforgettable time in Australia!  This morning at my Rotary club meeting here in Mill Bay, BC, Canada I was able to present banners and encourage my fellow Rotarians to feel connected with your Club!

Special thanks also to go to Melbourne Club Member,  Chanti Bou who made me feel very well looked after! She answered all of my questions and is looking forward to any possible club exchanges or collaborations on International Projects. I promised to keep her posted!

It was a privilege to attend "The Oldest Rotary Club in Australia" and to learn from your guest speaker Robert Pradolin on the topic of "Housing All Australians". Homelessness is an ongoing social issue needing urgent attention in our region also. I appreciated his views on enlisting businesses, the hotel industry and property owners to step up their efforts and work together to solve the crisis, rather than waiting on governmental agencies. Especially dire was his prediction that should this basic human need be left unaddressed, dangerous civil unrest could/would result. Thank you for together being a voice for peace in Melbourne and beyond!

My experience of travelling abroad and connecting with other Rotary clubs has strengthened my high esteem of Rotary and all of the benefits of participating in this organization both locally and internationally. Thanks for being the face of Rotary in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia for me!"
