COMMUNITY SCHOOL & SOCIAL WORK PROGRAM UPDATE

David conveyed the success of this program:  "This program assists EYC better serve some 900 students at its four schools located in the slum areas of Phnom Penh by giving it the opportunity to identify vulnerable and at-risk students, create targeted support plans, build stronger ties between EYC and students' families, and develop a process to track progress.

It should be noted that these schools are not orphanages but rented space and the children go home to their families each day."

These are the results of this program highlighting the number of children now attending classes for English, Computer Program.  It is fantastic to read that there were 42 scholarships offered and more than 163 at-risk children received social work support now.  The increased number of 3,878 students and community members able to see a doctor or dentist .... we take this for granted here.

Thanks David for providing this snapshot of work being performed in Cambodia.
