"In Rotary we talk about the Fellowship and how good it is. As we all know a very important part of Rotary is Fellowship. It is important because as Rotarians we do projects together. Synonyms for the word fellowship are: unity togetherness, companionship and friendliness. This is where On to Conference is such an important part of our club. On to Conference fosters this fellowship that we like to talk about.
Next year's District Conference will be in Bendigo starting on Friday, 27 March. On to Conference will start in Lancefield on Tuesday the 24th at the magnificent Spring Hill Estate. A truly amazing property with facilities designed to recharge those batteries, build on our fellowship and prepare as for the conference ahead.
We will then make our way to Bendigo with overnight stop along the way before we reach Bendigo on the Thursday. There will be activities, points of interest and opportunities to mingle.
Although March 2020 seems like a while away, we need to start collecting deposits for accommodation and we will need to lock in numbers soon so that we can secure our tentative bookings. For those of you who have been to Conference before, thank you for showing your interest for next year. For those of you who haven't, please consider coming for some of it, if not all. Maybe join us for the first night, and then visit a friend or relative in the area and rejoin us at the conference? There can be flexibility in your itinerary.
I strongly encourage new members to join us. I was only in the club for 6 months before I went on my first On to Conference and it was a positive experience , which I can guarantee it will be for you as well."
Please contact me with questions at ari.skinner@gmail.com. I will be finalising next year's itinerary in the next couple of weeks."
