One of the Club's Annual Awards is the Senior's Award made to a person whose outstanding service for seniors in a voluntary capacity is judged to have made a positive difference to the lives of seniors.
Attached is a flyer setting out the criteria for successful nomination for this award. Most of us with local community involvements will be aware of a person whose record of voluntary service for the benefit of seniors would make them a worthy recipient of the Senior's Award.
The receipt of this award can be both an encouragement to this person and the organisation for which he or she works or represents.
The successful nominee will have to be prepared to attend one of the Club's lunch meetings (probably in October 2019) to receive the acclaim of the President and members and speak for about five minutes about their work.
I invite you to nominate a suitable recipient for the Senior's Award before 31 August 2019. It will be necessary to address the criteria for selection set out in the flyer. If you would like my assistance in completing a nomination, I will be happy to help.
