"Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and the very substantial donation to our Mosque Appeal. Things have moved apace and it is now called the Rotary Muslim Youth Fund.
Many of the immediate issues have evolved towards developing medium and long term support and we have now brought the fund under our Riccarton Rotary Charitable Trust umbrella to managed by a newly established grants committee. The committee has a representative from each of the Al Noor and Linwood mosques plus a Muslim youth leader, along with myself and Theresa Shaugnessy (outgoing President of our Linwood club). This gets underway in earnest next month.
I will provide an update in RDU in the coming months and send you a formal receipt in the next few days.
