Elaine described: "Peter Blamey and I gave a talk on our personal involvement in the history of cochlear implants at a fundraiser for the Elmfield School for Deaf Children . It was organised by Rotarian Sue Pietersen for Rotary Bristol Breakfast club. The Lord Mayor of Bristol and two Rotary Presidents were there too."
Sue Pietersen wrote: "It was truly special hearing about the history and your environment with the pioneering of the cochlear implant. Incredible to think how many people lives you have changed through your work. I know we are very thankful as the cochlear implant has been life changing for so many children and adults."
