"There are 3 developments that will become more tangible in a short time:
- The Centenary Baton sponsored by D9820 has made a big impact. PP Linda and DGE Mark Humphries are exploring a cheaper, lighter prototype with some minor design modifications. The intention is to provide Batons for each District (and smaller version for each Club?) that can be leveraged into a range of community activities, fund raisers, fun runs, gala events, etc. Potentially the baton could be passed over at District Changeover so the symbolism continues into the next century.
- A Centenary logo competition will be launched shortly inviting Rotarians and others to submit worthy designs that capture the heart and soul of our Centenary. We will explore versions that cover New Zealand, Australia and/or a combination. The logo will be useful for raising awareness and engaging Rotarians, branding plus merchandise design (shirts, broaches, etc). The details of the logo competition will be sent directly to DGs and DGsE with an invitation to engage local Rotarians.
- A starter pack for R100 teams has been created to foster local R100 Centenary campaigns. That pack includes details of major Centenary projects, toolkits, thought starters, videos, news bites, history vignettes, podium presentation decks, flyers and more.
