"An inter-club visit took place last Friday. Our Inter-Club Team Leader John Peberdy organised for myself, IPP Robert and Myra Fisher to join him at the Rotary Club of Rowille-Lysterfield's business breakfast meeting and hear their special guest speaker Ray Martin.
Ray spoke of his long standing involvement with ROMAC and the outstanding work undertaken whilst commending the Club for its fund raising support.
Ray provided stories of interviewing hundreds of high profile personalities – this proved to be very informative and entertaining. Ray gave freely of his time, and $2,000 was raised for the charity of which he is a Patron: The Humpty Dumpty Foundation (helping kids in hospital).
He also the spoke of privilege of being awarded a Paul Harris Fellow. There was an opportunity to talk with Ray about the forthcoming Centenary of Rotary in Australia and New Zealand and his connection with RC Sydney will
now be pursued.
