NEW TECHNOLOGY, ITS IMPACT ON OUR LIVES

This week’s meeting will feature a topic that touches us all leaving many of us wondering if we are getting caught up in a stampede of change which we cannot control.

Honorary Secretary, Reg Smith will be moderating an informed discussion of the unprecedented developments in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, big data and robotics.

Three Rotary Melbourne panel members who are widely respected for their professional contributions are well equipped to give us a better informed understanding of new technological developments:

  1. Dr. Elaine Saunders, Bionics Institute “Entrepreneur in Residence”; co -Founder of Blamey Saunders Hears, and Independent Chair of the Innovation Precinct Advisory Board at Swinburne University;
  2. Dr Richard Skinner, who manages his own Dental practice, is an early adopter and innovative thinker; and
  3. Dr Chris Sotiropoulos, a lawyer and microbiologist who is Co-Founder and Director of APAC Health, and Principal of Legal and International Commercial Services. He helps firms manage the complexities of taking their innovative products to the world.

Join us and bring a friend or potential new member. This luncheon promises to be another highlight of our celebration of Rotary Vocational Service month.
