More than 1,000 guests packed the Crown Palladium, 80% being non-Rotarian, 130 Year 12 students from both public and private schools, sponsors, volunteers.
These are some of the highlights from our panellists:
Sally Capp: "Just give it a go …..always need to try and if you don’t succeed keep trying!"
Terry Moran: "Why do we make it so hard … for young people … we need free child care!"
Deb Platz: "In the 70’s, womens' police uniforms were tight skirts, high heels and guns in hand bags ... always a struggle when on a chase and having to climb a fence …. Up goes the skirt, kick the shoes off and just hope no holes in your underwear … so we have come a long way …. But there is still a long way to come!"
David Leser: "...so important for men and women to support each other … the only way forward!"
Melinda Cilento: "Targets are so important just like budgets, we need gender targets to improve the situation!"
Gael Jennings: "Conversations like these are important to encourage both men and women to take a “seat at the table”!"
Raffle was very well patronised and amount raised will be announced soon. There were many happy guests leaving the Breakfast at 9.00 am ready to commence their day in the spirit of the International Women's Day 2020.
