Bob reported: "Last week, our District interviewed short listed candidates for the District Rotary Global Postgraduate Scholarship and our nominee, Katherine (Kat) Osborne, was one of 2 successful awardees.
Kat will undertake an Executive Master of Public Administration at Syracuse University in New York State. She had offers of a place from 4 top US universities. Syracuse is consistently ranked in the top 3 US Public Policy – Public Administration universities.
It matches her desire to blend policy and practice of Public Administration. She has Honours degrees in politics and Law followed by 13 years in the public service focusing on many assignments in youth and social policy particularly education for children of ability but who are held back by social disadvantage.
For the past 3 years as Senior Consultant she has led Strategy Services for the Pinnacle Group. She is photographed with her family and also on a trail run. Kat also has Fulbright Scholarship which will help with US Postgraduate study which is expensive.
Her Rotary Scholarship is funded by the Rotary Foundation and our District."
