WELCOME CHRIS CARRODUS

Christopher Huw Carrodus (Chris) was inducted on 22 April 2020 with the classification Financial Services – Investments.

 

Chris born in Melbourne and educated at Xavier College and Deakin University, completing a Law and Commerce degree in 2003. 

 

Directly from university, Chris joined law firm Deacons (now Norton Rose) and was admitted as a Barrister and  Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2005. In 2006 Chris moved to London with law firm Dechert LLP, focusing financial services and hedge funds law.

 

At the height of the Global Financial Crisis in October 2008 Chris joined the London office of Global Asset Management Firm, BlackRock. At BlackRock in London he performed a variety of roles in legal, product development and investment strategy. 

 

In 2014 he returned to Melbourne to lead BlackRock’s Alternatives investment business in Australasia (private equity, infrastructure, real estate and hedge funds).

 

Chris and his wife Therese have three children.   Chris is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of CFA Society of Melbourne.  He is also an active member of the Hawthorn Football Club, the Commonwealth Golf Club and the Melbourne Cricket Club.
