MEET YIDAN XI - A NEW MEMBER

Yidan Xi was inducted on 6 May 2020 with the classification Executive Manager – Hospitality.

 

Born in Wuxi China, and moved to Perth Australia in 2008 there she was educated at Canning Collage during her high school, and entered the University of Western Australia and completed a Bachelor of commerce in 2013. To expand her education Yidan took up a Master’s Degree in Construction Practice at Bond University in 2015.

 

During her time living in the Gold Coast Queensland, Yidan was appointed as committee member at Bond University Chinese Students Association, Gold Coast Chinese Students & Scholars Association, Australian Club of Chinese Professionals, and Gold Coast Chinese Club. In 2017, Yidan served as a Community Ambassador for the Sudirman Cup.

 

After graduating from University, Yidan joined a start-up company M-Motion Real Estate in 2016, M-Motion merged with Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty in September 2017. During that time, she was invited and inducted in June, 2016 as a member of the Rotary Club of Gold Coast where she played an active part in the local community.

 

In 2017, Yidan then joined an investment group taking the position of assistant to Chairman. This company’s main focus was on acquisition of boutique and holiday resorts in Australia, and overlooking hotel management. Projects she was involved in include Chateau Yering Hotel (Melbourne), Villa Howden (Hobart), Beachside Retreat Inlet (Stanley), Hanlon House (Stanley), Bridestowe Lavender Farm JV hotel project (Launceston), etc. After a successful journey moving between cities, she decided to settle down in the most liveable city in the world – Melbourne.

 

Yidan then accepted the invitation of being Marketing Manager of Chateau Yering Historic House Hotel in 2019, and was recently appointed to be Executive Manager of the hotel.

 

Yidan has a very positive attitude and does challenge herself to be Successful and is well embraced by all associates and the community.

To overcome her fear of heights, she took to Skydiving to challenge her never give up attitude and completed a half marathon not once but twice! Yidan loves creating meaningful memories such as donating blood on her 21st birthday. She also loves spending her leisure time outdoors, exercise to keep fit and the love of meeting  with people, or simply reading a good book at home.
