"Good afternoon Rotarians and Guests
As we head towards the winter solstice this Sunday and slowly awake from the isolation of the pandemic we can reflect on what a long way we’ve come together … and there will be some way to go yet! …… but with the help of our wonderful Zoom team of Jo Mavros, Reg Smith and President Kevin we have managed to keep meeting and maintaining Fellowship.
Whilst much has been changing around us – as Rotarians we have managed to sail into the mid-winter together and have shown how adaptable we are and how we have continued the good work of Rotary, including, helping those in bushfire affected areas.
Even in those moments when it seems that life can be truly challenging, when we pause, ….. and reflect ….. on the good fortune we have to be in Australia - let us be thankful for that good fortune and grateful for all that we have."
