The renovated caravans, assisted by grants from District 9800, Rotary Melbourne and other Rotary Clubs, will be delivered to East Gippsland or Corryong areas. The vans that have already been sent have gone to Goongerah, Genoa and Cann River. Pic shows part of inside a refurbished caravan.
Ari Talantis, our RM Social Media and Webmaster, has had outstanding success in her postings of this project. It was from Facebook that Rotary Altona became aware of the Bushfire caravan restoration project and offered their financial assistance and a driver to tow a van to the country for its new residents.
There have been hundreds of "Likes" from both Rotarians and non Rotarians reading Facebook and viewing Rotary Melbourne's support for bushfire victims.
