Hepatitis Victoria's Martin Forrest, Health Promotion Programs Manager at Hepatitis Victoria has sent an invitation to us all from Melanie Eagle:
"This is an important day for all of us, and I wanted to send you a personal message of care and appreciation. You are in our thoughts and we hope that you are keeping safe and well.
It is also an opportunity for us to continue to raise awareness together. Our theme for 2020 is ‘Hepatitis – a virus we can eliminate.’ What you can do to get involved and help raise awareness:
STEP 1: Take a 'selfie' holding a sign pledging your support to eliminate viral hepatitis.
STEP 2: Help us get the message out on social media.
b. Alternatively, simply email your message and photo to us and we’ll upload it on our social media platforms for you.
STEP 3: Forward this email to your friends and family so they can share their own selfie.
As always, we appreciate any support you able to provide this campaign. We know we will only eliminate viral hepatitis with you working alongside us.
Kind regards,
Melanie Eagle

Message from Rotary Melbourne End Hepatitis Now team: We have been able to reach rural areas such as Hamilton North, Horsham and Yea, which would have been more challenging if the speakers had to travel – so there has been at least one positive from COVID-19.
Every virtual presentation is introduced by a RM member, who briefly outlines the club’s involvement in the initiative. Then an educator from HepVic and a person with lived experience of hepatitis deliver the presentation and answer questions.
If any RCM member has contacts at another club who could be approached about hosting a presentation, please let me know at endhepatitisnow@rotarymelbourne.org.au.
Penny Trumble (Alan's daughter who is our administration guru connecting Hepatitis Victoria with Rotary Clubs. Thank you Penny)
