WALTER & ELIZA HALL INSTITUTE says THANKS

The photos show the most recent purchases of two Microcentrifuges. In the past we have had visits to their Parkville facility and met some of the outstanding scientists and seen and heard of their work.

Thank you from Walter and Eliza's Major Donors, Ava to Philip Watson:  "As promised, please find attached a copy of the two photos that were taken of Associate Professor Justin Boddey and Associate Professor Wai-hong Tham from WEHI’s Infectious Diseases and Immune Defence division. They are standing in front of the 2x microcentrifuges that the Rotary Club of Melbourne generously enabled the purchase of earlier this year.

The signage that appears on the front of each piece of equipment says: “Rotary Club of Melbourne has generously donated this Thermo Fisher Heraeus Pico 17 Microcentrifuge”.  Please find attached a copy of this acknowledgment signage as well.

The equipment is being put to good use and helping to further important research into solving malaria – thank you!

Associate Professor Wai-hong Tham has thanked the Club but addressed to Kevin Sheenan and the Club Members – the card was written before I became aware that Marion Macleod is the current Club President, I apologise for this oversight and hope that it doesn’t detract from our immense gratitude of the Club’s generous support.

Hopefully the physical copies of the photos would have arrived to the Club by this time.

Finally, I’m also pleased to be able to share with you the latest editions of the WEHI Annual Report here and Impact of Giving report here. I hope you find these reports an enjoyable read.

Thank you once again for the Rotary Club of Melbourne’s wonderful and ongoing support of WEHI and for all that you do to partner with us to protect good health.

With appreciative thanks and best wishes,

Ava
