Thanks to Chair Suresh Marcandan for the following comments:
“In an environment in which we are not short of options, but have conflicting priorities, it is even more important that RM manages its reputation in a manner that we raise our visibility in society. Attracting high profile speakers is one of the most important means of enticing higher member participation, attracting new members, and equally importantly attracting the ‘charity dollars’.
It is critical that we attract speakers from diverse backgrounds to speak on a wide variety of topics that are of maximum interest to the majority of our members and guests, and indeed the general public”.
“I was truly humbled when Brett Sutton accepted our invitation, particularly during a period when time is so precious to him, and his responsibility for tackling this dreaded pandemic requires his undivided attention. The depth and width of knowledge and experience was clearly evident during his presentation, and in his responses to the questions.
My personal opinion is that he epitomises transformational, compassionate and purpose-driven leadership, and hence the State of Victoria is very fortunate to have him at the helm during this very challenging crisis”.
Co Chair Rob Medcalf is seen here fielding questions to Brett:
