Bob Glindemann did the voice over for our vignette today on DIK but Did You Know:
- In 2011 Bob was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for "service to the community through Rotary International and a range of social welfare, children's and motor sport organisations".
- Bob has been a Rotarian for 37 years, serving as President of the Rotary Club of Darwin 1975/6 and Rotary Club of Melbourne 2003/4 – this was when he instigated The Axle Award, a trophy in the form of an axle to represent the hub of the Rotary wheel.
- He has a long history of humanitarian service through Rotary and other organisations including Care Australia, Very Special Kids Foundation, SecondBite, Navy Health, the East Timor Committee and East Timor Roofing Chairman.
