REFLECTION by PE REG SMITH

"With all the news in recent weeks about mistakes and weaknesses in Victoria’s Health system and it is easy to overlook the positives.

The number of new Covid-19 cases has dropped to around 10. The 14 day “rolling average” is plummeting, and the infection rate of 0.3% suggests that these positive trends will continue.

A habit I have reinforced during the last 6 months has been to remind myself of what I am grateful for. Close to the top of the list is living in a country that is up to the current challenge and with our outstanding health system, a growing confidence we will get through this, and Rotary will excel in addressing the many issues that will have to be confronted.

Let us give thanks, not only for our good fortune living in this marvellous country, but also for the opportunity through Rotary, to be part of the good work that is going to be needed as the crisis recedes."
